Gerson therapy

In alternative medicine, radical nutritional therapy for degenerative diseases, particularly cancer, developed by German-born US physician Max Gerson (1881–1959).

Numerous cures of chronic cases were achieved by Gerson, but his opposition to orthodox cancer treatment, and the stringency of his alternative approach, have resulted in the therapy not being widely practised today, although the evidence for its effectiveness, both in relieving the suffering and drug-dependence of most patients and in achieving the recovery of many others, is substantial.
