Gesang der Jünglinge

Work by Karlheinz Stockhausen for sung and spoken boys' voices, electrically processed and relayed through five loudspeakers. The text is from the Book of Daniel in the Bible and concerns three Hebrew youths undergoing ordeal by fire in Babylon. The work was first performed in Cologne, Germany, on 30 May 1956.
