Chesterton

Town in Porter County, extreme northwestern Indiana, USA, 8 km/5 mi south of Lake Michigan and 24 km/15 mi east of Gary; population (1990) 9,100. Situated in a farming area known for its poultry, fruit, and dairy products, Chesterton also has a growing suburban residential community. Printing supplies are manufactured here.

Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore is just to the north.
