Giusti, Giuseppe (1809–1850)

Italian poet. His poems are mainly patriotic and they express contemporary problems in a simple, popular manner. They include La ghigliottina a vapore 1833, Lo stivale 1836, Il brindisi di Girella 1840 (dedicated to the memory of Talleyrand), Gli umanitari, Gingillino, and Sant' Ambrogio 1846.
