Giustino

Opera by Handel (altered libretto from Nicolo Beregani), first produced at Covent Garden, London, England, on 16 February 1737. In the story, Giustino joins Anastasius in battle against Vitalian. Later Giustino and Vitalian join forces to defeat the usurping Amantius, who has imprisoned Anastasius. The opera concludes with Giustino united with Leocasta, whom he has rescued earlier.
