Glaucus

Genus of pelagic (open ocean) carnivorous gastropod molluscs found in the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans. They have long, slender, sluglike bodies, with three pairs of lateral outgrowths, and the heads are furnished with tentacles. They are greeny-blue in colour.

Glaucus belongs to order Nudibranchia, subclass Opisthobranchia, class Gastropoda, phylum Mollusca.
