Glen Affric

Valley in Highland unitary authority, Scotland, 50 km/31 mi southwest of Inverness. The glen runs for over 25 km/15 mi through an extensively forested mountain region. Loch Affric lies at its head, drained by the River Affric, and hydroelectricity is generated downstream at the Aigas Dam, which has a fish lift for migrating salmon.
