Glenroy, Parallel Roads of

Ice Age feature in the valley of Glenroy, Highland unitary authority, Scotland, consisting of three narrow terraces running along the sides of the glen. The tiers represent the beach deposits of a lake formed when the valley was blocked by ice during the Pleistocene glaciation. As the ice retreated, the lake waters fell, and terraces were formed at successively lower levels.
