Glenside

Community in the urban townships of Cheltenham and Abington, Montgomery County, southeast Pennsylvania; population (1990) 8,700. A residential suburb, it is located 13 km/8 mi north-northwest of Philadelphia. it has some light manufacturing. Glenside is home to Beaver College (1853).
