Glueck, Eleanor Touroff (1898–1972)

US social worker and juvenile delinquency reformer. A champion of youthful offenders, she worked as a research assistant in criminology for Harvard Law School (1953–64). She was codirector of a longterm study on the causes, treatment, and prevention of juvenile delinquency (1929–64). Glueck served on the delinquency committee at a White House Conference on Children and Youth (1960) and wrote many articles in conjunction with her husband, Sheldon Glueck. She was born in New York City.
