Godmanchester

Part of the town of Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire, England; population (2001) 6,000. Godmanchester stands on the site of a small Roman town on the south bank of the River Ouse, spanned by a 14th-century bridge. Agriculture is the main activity locally.

Godmanchester was formerly a municipal borough. It has a large 13th–17th-century church, the 18th-century Island Hall and Farm Hall, and a number of old houses.
