Godwin, Fay Simmonds (1931–2005)

English photographer. After initially focusing on her two young sons, she turned to landscape photography. Her subjects, which included Welsh and Scottish scenes, often made a sociological or ecological statement by incorporating pollution. Her many publications include The Oldest Road: The Ridgeway (1975) and Our Forbidden Land (1990).

Godwin was born in Berlin, Germany, and educated in numerous schools worldwide. From 1970 she worked as a freelance photographer, based in London.
