Gog and Magog

In Old Testament prophecy, an enemy ruler and his followers who will do battle with Israel. The names appear in the New Testament in the prophecies of the end of time contained in the book of Revelation, 20:8–10, as two nations under the control of Satan. In later literature the names have been used as conventional representations of those who oppose the people of God.
