Golaseccia

Village site of a large Iron Age cemetery on the Ticino River, Italy, a few kilometres from its mouth on Lake Maggiore. The cemetery consists of hundreds of circles made of unworked stones, each circle containing a prehistoric tomb with a cinerary urn and sometimes a vase, weapons, and small objects of iron, amber, glass, or bronze.
