Goodhue, Benjamin (1748-1814)

US politician. A prosperous merchant, he was chosen to represent Massachusetts in the US House of Representatives (1789-96) and the US Senate (1796-1800), where he served as chairman of the Committee on Commerce. He was born in Salem, Massachusetts.
