Goodwell

Small town in Texas County, northwest Oklahoma; population (1990) 1,100. It is situated in the high plains of the Oklahoma Panhandle, 14 km/9 mi southwest of Guymon and 11 km/7 mi north of the Texas state border, in an area that raises wheat and livestock. It is home to the Oklahoma Panhandle State University (1909).
