Grünewald, Gottfried (1675-1739)

German singer and composer. He sang at Hamburg 1703-04, where two of his operas, Germanicus and Der ungetreue Schäfer Cardillo, were produced. He was appointed vice-Kapellmeister in Weissenfels in 1709, and settled in Darmstadt as vice-Kapellmeister under Graupner c. 1712.
