Graffman, Gary

Graffman, Gary (1928– )

US pianist. He began studying at the Curtis Institute at the age of eight and two years later made his New York debut. His ensuing international career, mainly playing the Romantics, was cut short by a hand ailment in 1979. He went on to teach at the Curtis Institute.

Graffman was born in New York City.
