The researchers found that the grain boundary regions in the individual carbon sheets are magnetically coupled, forming 2-dimensional networks. The effect of grain boundary and other imperfections in the nanostructured coating should be responsible for the difference in thermal conductivity. As the resistance and capacitance of the interfacial grain boundary are larger than the contribution from grain, we may conclude that the grain boundary behavior dominates permittivity at low frequencies and grain phase dominates at high frequency. |
