Grandview

Town in Jackson County, west Missouri; population (1990) 25,000. It is located 26 km/16 mi south-southeast of Kansas City centre and almost surrounded by the city. It is a trade hub for a farming region producing grain, apples, and dairy products, and also is a hardware and electrical goods manufacturing centre. The Richards-Gebaur Air Force Base is to the south.
