Granton

Port forming part of City of Edinburgh unitary authority, Scotland, situated on the Firth of Forth. It has timber yards, and printing ink and chemical works. A number of shipping lines, in particular freight specialists, are based here.

The port was annexed to Edinburgh in 1900.

One family eventually fled the area in Granton, Edinburgh after suffering years of racist violence and abuse.
Detectives believe the body parts, recovered from undergrowth in the Granton area of Edinburgh, also belong to Heather Stacey, 44, from the city.
She was found dead on April 7,1983, at Gypsy Brae, Granton, Edinburgh, after being thrown from a car and crushed by its wheels.
