Grassholm

Island 25 km/15 mi northwest of St Ann's Head, Pembrokeshire, southwest Wales. Owned and managed by the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds, it is the home of several rare species of birds. The island is of particular interest as a breeding-ground of the gannet (solan goose). Seals abound in the surrounding waters.

Most of the birds spend their winters out at sea, but flock to Skomer, Skokholm, and Grassholm islands in huge numbers in late March and early April to lay their eggs and raise their young.
