Gray, Harry (Jack) (1919- )

US industrialist. After an early career in sales, he worked for Litton Industries (1956-71). As president, CEO, and chairman (1971-86) he transformed United Aircraft into United Technologies, a conglomerate of companies poised to take advantage of massive research and development expenditures, particularly in microelectronics. He was later chairman and CEO of American Medical Holdings, Dallas, Texas. He was born in Milledgeville Crossroads, Georgia.
