Great Gatsby, The

Novel (1925) by US writer F Scott Fitzgerald. It is the tale of the dazzling, enigmatic Gatsby who becomes a millionaire in order to win back his first love but whose dream ends in death and his own murder. The novel, set in the 1920s Jazz Age, depicts the corruption of the American enchantment with wealth.

He holds a PhD degree in American literature for his thesis in 1983 on the relationship between Hollywood and the famous American writer Scott Fitzgerald, who left behind great works such as Tender is the Night, the Great Gatsby, The Love of the Last Tycoon, Three Comrades and many other wonders, and died believing himself a failure.
