Greber, Jakob (died 1731)

German composer. He went to London around 1702 with Margherita de l'Epine and stayed there until around 1706. From 1708 he travelled to Innsbruck, then Vienna, in the service of the Emperor Charles VI, and lived in the Palatinate (Heidelberg) 1717-23.

Works

opera Gli amori d'Ergasto (1705; The Temple of Love attributed to him is by Saggione), shorter stage pieces, serenatas; cantatas for solo voice and various instruments.
