Greenawald, Sheri (1947- )

US soprano. She sang at first in New York, then in the premieres of Floyd's Bilby's Doll and Pasatieri's Washington Square (in Houston and Detroit in 1976). She sang with the Netherlands Opera in 1980, as Susanna, and gave concerts in San Francisco and Rotterdam. In 1983 she appeared in the premiere of Bernstein's A Quiet Place in Houston, and at Chicago in 1991 she sang Pauline in the first US performance of Prokofiev's The Gambler. She sang Mozart's Countess with the Welsh National Opera in 1995.
