Greencastle

Town and administrative headquarters of Putnam County, west-central Indiana; population (1990) 9,000. It is located 48 km/30 mi northeast of Terre Haute. A trade and shipping centre for local livestock, grain, dairy products, lumber, and limestone, it also produces crushed stone and cement. Greencastle is home to DePauw University (1837).

Deborah Gangloff: I found the enclosed June 1927 issue of American Forests and Forest Life in an antique store in Greencastle, Pennsylvania.
A native of Indianapolis, Wells earned his bachelor of arts degree at DePauw University in Greencastle, IN, and his master of business administration degree in finance from Indiana University in Bloomington, IN.
