Greenwood, Arthur Herbert (1880–1963)

US politician. A lawyer and prosecuting attorney (1916–18), he served as a Democrat representative of Indiana in the US House of Representatives (1923–39) becoming majority whip in 1937. Rejected by the voters, he went back to work as a lawyer, banker, and farmer. He was born in Plainville, Indiana.
