Norman, Greg (1955– )

Australian golfer, nicknamed ‘the Great White Shark’, who won the British Open in 1986 and 1993. After many wins in his home country, he enjoyed success on the European Tour before joining the PGA Tour in the USA. He also won the World Match Play title three times between 1980 and 1986. He captained the International team to victory over the USA at Melbourne in the third President's Cup team competition in December 1998. He twice finished second in both the US Open and the PGA Championship and was a three-time runner-up at the Masters.
