Gregory the Illuminator

Gregory the Illuminator (c. 240-322)

Catholic saint and Christian apostle of Armenia. He eventually succeeded in converting King Tividates of Armenia to Christianity which then became the official religion of the country. The sermons and epistles ascribed to him are probably not genuine.

His feast is on 30 September.
