Grist, Reri (1932– )

US soprano. She appeared in Bernstein's West Side Story on Broadway and sang Blondchen at Santa Fe in 1959; her European debut was in Cologne in 1960, as the Queen of the Night. She sang Despina and Zerbinetta at Glyndebourne in 1962, and appeared at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, London, from 1962 as Olympia, Gilda, and Susanna. Her New York Metropolitan Opera House debut was in 1966, as Rosina. Her other roles included Mozart's Aminta and Zerlina, Sophie, and Adina.
