Gross, Harold (Royce) (1899-1987)

US politician. A Republican representing Iowa, he served in the US House of Representatives (1949-75). Gross was born in Arispe, Iowa. He served in the Mexican border campaigns of 1916 and overseas during World War I. After graduating from the Missouri School of Journalism, he worked as a newspaperman (1921-35) and radio news commentator (1935-48).
