Groveton

Town in Fairfax County, north Virginia; population (1990) 20,000. It is located 5 km/3 mi south of Alexandria, and lies to the west of the Potomac River. Part of the Second Battle of Bull Run (29–30 August 1862) was fought in the area, which is now a largely residential suburb.

He was born in Groveton, NH on May 11, 1917, the son of Raymond and Veona (Morency) Libby.
In upstate towns like Groveton, the yearend closing of a paper mill, with its loss of 300 jobs, hit hard.
