    0.06 sec.

Guédron, Pierre (c. 1565–c. 1621)

French singer and composer. He was a chorister in the chapel of the Cardinal de Guise and later of Henri IV. In 1601 he was appointed composer to the king in succession to Claude Le Jeune and held various other posts at court, finishing as Surintendant de la Musique under Louis XIII in 1613. His daughter Jeanne married Boësset, with whom, as well as Bailly, Maudit, and Bataille, he collaborated in the composition of court ballets. He also published six books of airs with lute accompaniment (airs de cour) and contributed others to various collections.
