Guarnieri, (Mozart) Camargo (1907-1993)

Brazilian composer. He was conductor of the Orquestra Sinfônica Municipal, São Paulo, and director of the Conservatory from 1960. He often visited the USA, where many of his works were performed.

He was a pupil of Charles Koechlin in Paris, France.

Works

four symphonies; five piano concertos (1936-70), two violin concertos (1940, 1953); chamber music; cello and piano sonata; piano pieces; songs.
