Guest, Charlotte (1812–1895)| English scholar. She translated and edited several old Welsh manuscripts of which the best known was The Mabinogion 1838–49. This did much to stimulate interest in Celtic literature. She also helped to revive the Welsh eisteddfod and was a noted collector of fans. She is the daughter of the 9th Earl of Lindsay. |
