Guglielmi, Pietro Carlo (c. 1763-1817)

Italian composer, son of Pietro Alessandro Guglielmi. He studied at the Conservatorio di Santa Maria di Loreto in Naples, producing the first of many successful operas in 1794 in Madrid, Spain. He also visited London, Lisbon, and Paris.

Works

almost 50 operas, Amor tutto vince (1805), Guerra aperta (1807); oratorio La distruzione di Gerusalemme (1803).
