Guiseley

Town in West Yorkshire, England, 13 km/8 mi northwest of Leeds; population (2001, Guiseley and Yeadon) 31,400. Guiseley has a Norman church (mid-12th century) in which are kept fragments of Anglian crosses of the 9th century. The Rectory Hall, reconstructed in 1601 (restored 1910), is still partly surrounded by a moat.
