Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf

Arab organization for promoting peace in the Gulf area, established in 1981. Its declared purpose is ‘to bring about integration, coordination, and cooperation in economic, social, defence, and political affairs among Arab Gulf states’. Its members include Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates; its headquarters are in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Located in the heart of the city, the new office is geared to support Smiths Detection's growing Middle Eastern business and it is planned to extend its activities soon to the Gulf Co-operation Council (GCC) countries.
The remaining 45% interest is held by the Qatar Government-owned Qatar Petroleum (QP) and the Qatar Electric & Power Company (QEWC), along with the Gulf Co-operation Council (GCC)-owned Gulf Investment Corporation (GCC).
The magazine, called "VISA Life," is to be in Arabic and English and will be free to more than half of all Visa credit cardholders in the Gulf Co-operation Council states of Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.
