Gulf Shores

Town in Baldwin County, southwest Alabama; population (1990) 3,300. It is situated on the Gulf of Mexico, near the southeast corner of Mobile Bay and 60 km/37 mi southeast of Mobile. It is the largest resort community on Alabama's Gulf Coast, drawing millions of visitors annually to its barrier beaches, fishing pier, and other attractions.
