Guthrie, Ramon

Guthrie, Ramon (1896-1973)

US poet. He is known for lyrical and humanist poetry, as in Maximum Security Ward (1970). He was born in New York City. Educated in France (1919-23), he taught French at several institutions, notably at Dartmouth College (1930-63).
