Gutierrez, Sidney McNeill (1951- )

US astronaut. He piloted the Columbia space shuttle flight in June 1991 that carried the Spacelab Life Sciences mission. In April 1994, he commanded the Endeavour flight that carried the Space Radar Laboratory, which took images of 20% of the Earth. Gutierrez was selected as an astronaut in 1984 and retired from NASA in 1994.
