Gutman, Natalia (1942– )

Russian cellist. She studied in Moscow under Rostropovich, won awards in Moscow, Munich, and Vienna, and has appeared with the Vienna and Berlin Philharmonic Orchestras, the Philharmonia London and the Concertgebouw Orchestra. She toured the USA with the Russsian State Symphony Orchestra, and Russia with the BBC Symphony Orchestra. She has performed chamber music with Oleg Kagan and Richter, and played in premieres of works by the New Music School of Russian composers, Gubaidulina, Schnittke, and Denisov.
