Guze, Samuel Barry

Guze, Samuel Barry (1923- )

US psychiatrist and educator. He was an expert in the fields of alcoholism and substance abuse, the psychology of criminal behaviour, and the evaluation and treatment of psychiatric disorders. Guze was born in New York City. He was affiliated to Washington University in St Louis, Missouri (1946), becoming president of its Medical Center (1971-89).
