Gwinnett County

County in north Georgia; area 1,127 sq km/435 sq mi; population (1990) 352,900. Its administrative headquarters is Lawrenceville. The Chattahoochee River and Lake Sidney Lanier form its northwest boundary. Lying at the northeast edge of the Atlanta metropolitan area, the county is suburban in the southwest and agricultural (poultry and dairy farms) in the east and north.
