Hüllmandel, Nicolas Joseph (1756-1823)

Alsatian harpsichordist, pianist, and composer, and a pupil of Carl Philipp Emanual Bach. He appeared in London in 1771 and settled there in 1790 after a visit to Italy and a residence in Paris. He wrote a treatise on piano playing.

Works

numerous sonatas for harpsichord and later for piano, many with violin accompaniment.
