Hüsch, Gerhard (1901-1984)

German baritone. He made his debut in Osnabrück in 1924 and then sang at the Cologne Opera 1927-30, in Bayreuth 1930-31 (as Wolfram), in Berlin 1930-42, and at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden London, 1930-38 as Falke and Papageno. In addition to being a fine opera singer he was also a distinguished lieder (German song) singer, particularly in Schubert.
