Hüsch, Gerhard (1901–1984)

German baritone. He made his debut in Osnabrück in 1924 and then sang at the Cologne Opera 1927–30, in Bayreuth 1930–31 (as Wolfram), in Berlin 1930–42, and at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden London, 1930–38 as Falke and Papageno. In addition to being a fine opera singer he was also a distinguished lieder (German song) singer, particularly in Schubert.
