HSCSD

Wireless service introduced in 2000 by UK mobile phone operator Orange, allowing users of laptop computers and personal digital assistants (PDAs) to transmit data at a speed of 28.8 kilobytes per second (kbps). HSCSD is a rival of GPRS, which requires the use of a mobile phone to connect laptops and PDAs.
