Haas, Robert (Maria) (1886-1960)

Austrian musicologist. He edited the original versions of Anton Bruckner's works 1932-42, and was succeeded in this task by Leopold Nowak. He wrote books on baroque music, musical performance, Mozart, and Bruckner.

Haas received a doctorate from Prague University and became assistant to the musicologist Guido Adler. He later became a lecturer at Vienna University and director of the music department of the State Library there.
