Hagith

Opera in one act by Karol Szymanowski (libretto by composer after F Dormann); it was composed 1912-13, while Szymanowski was living in Vienna, Austria, and first produced in Warsaw, Poland, on 13 May 1922. In the story, Hagith is stoned to death after she refuses to become a sacrifice for King David.
