Hagith

Opera in one act by Karol Szymanowski (libretto by composer after F Dormann); it was composed 1912–13, while Szymanowski was living in Vienna, Austria, and first produced in Warsaw, Poland, on 13 May 1922. In the story, Hagith is stoned to death after she refuses to become a sacrifice for King David.
